Apr 8, 2025 This report contains data for wood pellet and other densified biomass fuel production, sales, and inventory levels from 77 operating manufacturers of densified biomass fuel in the United States. Facilities with an annual capacity of 10,000 tons or more per year are required to report monthly.
Apr 3, 2025 Natural gas prices, supply and demand balances, liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports, rig counts, storage levels, weather data, and other market activity or events.
Apr 3, 2025 This site contains spreadsheets with wholesale electricity and natural gas data from seven major trading hubs that cover most regions of the United States. The data are through April 5, 2025, republished, with permission, from the Intercontinental Exchange.
Apr 2, 2025 The Quarterly Coal Distribution Report provides detailed U.S. domestic coal distribution data (excluding waste coal and imports) for fourth-quarter 2024 by coal-origin state, coal-destination state, mode of transportation, and consuming sector. Quarterly coal distribution data for all quarters are preliminary and will be updated in the corresponding Annual Coal Distribution Report.
Apr 2, 2025
U.S. coal production during the fourth quarter of 2024 totaled 128 million short tons (MMst), which was 6% lower than the previous quarter and 9.1% lower than the fourth quarter of 2023. Fourth-quarter 2024 U.S. coal exports (27.7 MMst) increased 1.4% from the third-quarter 2024 level and increased 5.1% from the fourth-quarter 2023 level. U.S. coal imports in the fourth quarter of 2024 totaled 0.4 MMst.
All data for 2023 and previous years are final. All data for 2024 are preliminary.
Apr 1, 2025 The April 2025 Petroleum Marketing Monthly, with data through January 2025, presents monthly and annual price and volume statistics for crude oil sales in the United States.
Mar 31, 2025 The U.S. Energy Information Administration release showing national monthly biofuels operable production capacity.
Mar 31, 2025 In January 2025, dry natural gas production increased year over year for the second consecutive month. Preliminary dry natural gas production in January 2025 was 3,228 billion cubic feet (Bcf), or 104.1 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d). Production was 0.6% (0.6 Bcf/d) higher in January 2025 than in January 2024 (103.5 Bcf/d). Dry gas production was the highest for the month since 1973, the earliest year in this data set. Gross withdrawals also increased from January 2024.
Mar 31, 2025 These monthly production estimates are based on data from Form EIA-914, Monthly Crude Oil, Lease Condensate, and Natural Gas Production Report.
Mar 31, 2025 Supply and disposition of crude oil and petroleum products on a national and regional level. The data describe production, imports and exports, movements, and inventories. Notice: In our March Petroleum Supply Monthly (PSM), we introduced data on renewable diesel exports. These new data will add to our existing renewable diesel data of production, imports, interregional movements, and stock changes to provide a more complete understanding of how much renewable diesel is consumed in different U.S. regions. Without renewable diesel export data, our product supplied measure for renewable diesel was inflated because we did not capture product leaving the country.
Mar 31, 2025 Imports data at the company level collected from Form EIA-814, Monthly Imports Report.
Mar 31, 2025 Monthly data on rail movements of crude oil have been updated for January 2025. Crude oil movements by rail have significantly increased during the past five years. The data on crude-by-rail (CBR) movements are also fully integrated with EIA’s existing monthly petroleum supply statistics, which already include crude oil movements by pipeline, tanker, and barge.
Mar 28, 2025 Annual state-level estimates of consumption, prices, and expenditures for lubricants, asphalt, and road oil.
Mar 27, 2025 Natural gas prices, supply and demand balances, liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports, rig counts, storage levels, weather data, and other market activity or events.
Mar 26, 2025 The Monthly Energy Review is our comprehensive report on recent and historical energy statistics. According to our March 2025 report, preliminary estimates indicate that U.S. total primary energy production equaled 103 quadrillion British thermal units in 2024, the highest total on record.
Mar 25, 2025 Data in the March 2025 Electric Power Monthly (EPM) are for January 2025, when net generation in the United States increased 5.5% from January 2024. Consumption of coal for power generation was up 8.1% compared with the previous year. The average residential retail price of electricity was up 3.3% from January 2024.
Mar 20, 2025 This spreadsheet contains detailed information on liquids (crude oil, petroleum products, and hydrocarbon gas liquids) pipeline projects. We do not collect the data on an EIA survey, but rather we compile the data from various sources including trade press, pipeline company websites, and government agencies. These data are not a forecast. They represent last-known public information on projects, as of December 31, 2024. The status of each project is categorized as completed (since 2010), announced, under construction, on hold, or canceled.

Mar 20, 2025 This site contains spreadsheets with wholesale electricity and natural gas data from seven major trading hubs that cover most regions of the United States. The data are through March 18, 2025, republished, with permission, from the Intercontinental Exchange
Mar 20, 2025 We released our preliminary results from the 2022 Manufacturing Energy Consumption Survey on March 20, 2025.The initial data table provides information on total U.S. manufacturing energy consumption for all purposes (fuel and nonfuel). The new data show total energy consumption increased for the third continuous four-year period, largely due to increased natural gas consumption; solar-, wind-, hydro-, and geothermal-powered onsite electricity generation; and wider use of other renewable energy sources such as agricultural waste.
Mar 14, 2025 Annual state-level estimates of motor gasoline consumption, prices, and expenditures and fuel ethanol consumption.
Mar 13, 2025 Fourth-quarter 2024 update of uranium production in the United States and operating status of U.S. uranium mills and plants
Mar 11, 2025 Global oil markets. Global oil markets will remain relatively tight through the middle of 2025 before gradually shifting to oil inventory builds later this year. We expect global oil inventories will fall in the second quarter of 2025 (2Q25) in part due to decreasing crude oil production in Iran and Venezuela. As a result, the Brent crude oil spot price in our forecast rises from about $70 per barrel (b) to $75/b by 3Q25. However, we expect oil inventories will build and place downward pressure on crude oil prices in late-2025 and through 2026 when we expect OPEC+ unwinds production cuts and non-OPEC oil production grows. As a result, we forecast the Brent crude oil price will fall to an average of $68/b in 2026.
As U.S. crude oil and natural gas production have increased, so has the volume of production declines from existing wells. To offset the increasing declines, operators today must bring on new wells to sustain or increase production levels. More ›
