Sep 17, 2024 This spreadsheet contains detailed information on liquids (crude oil, petroleum products, and hydrocarbon gas liquids) pipeline projects. We do not collect the data on an EIA survey, but rather we compile the data from various sources including trade press, pipeline company websites, and government agencies. These data are not a forecast. They represent last-known public information on projects, as of July 31, 2024. The status of each project is categorized as completed (since 2010), announced, under construction, on hold, or canceled.
Sep 13, 2024 This report contains monthly summary data for the photovoltaic industry in the United States. Data include manufacturing, imports, and exports of modules in the United States and its territories. Summary data include volumes in peak kilowatts and average prices. Where possible, imports and exports are listed by country, and shipments to the United States are listed by state.
Sep 12, 2024 We recently implemented a new model for forecasting crude oil and natural gas production from the U.S. Federal Offshore Gulf of Mexico (GOM) in the Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO). In our latest outlook, we forecast that GOM production will remain relatively flat with new fields offsetting the natural production declines from existing fields.
Sep 10, 2024 New U.S. biofuels data. Biomass-based diesel products are making up an increasing share of the total distillate fuel oil consumed in the United States. Beginning this month, we will publish forecasts for several new series that better capture how biofuels are being consumed and the share of total distillate fuel oil they account for. We expect that although U.S. total distillate fuel oil consumption will fall slightly this year to average 4.1 million barrels per day (b/d), biofuels will account for 9% (360,000 b/d) of that consumption, up from 8% last year and 5% in 2022.
Sep 5, 2024 This site contains spreadsheets with wholesale electricity and natural gas data from seven major trading hubs that cover most regions of the United States. The data are through September 3, 2024, republished, with permission, from the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).
Sep 3, 2024 The September 2024 Petroleum Marketing Monthly (PMM), with data through June 2024, presents monthly and annual price and volume statistics for crude oil sales in the United States.
Aug 30, 2024 In June 2024, dry natural gas production decreased year over year for the fourth consecutive month. Preliminary dry natural gas production in June 2024 was 3,090 billion cubic feet (Bcf), or 103.0 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d). Production was 0.2% (0.2 Bcf/d) lower in June 2024 than in June 2023 (103.2 Bcf/d); despite this decrease, dry natural gas production was the second highest for the month since 1973, when we began tracking dry production. Gross withdrawals also decreased from June 2023.

Aug 30, 2024 Supply and disposition of crude oil and petroleum products on a national and regional level. The data describe production, imports and exports, movements, and inventories.
Aug 30, 2024 These monthly production estimates are based on data from Form EIA-914, Monthly Crude Oil, Lease Condensate, and Natural Gas Production Report.
Aug 30, 2024 Final annual data for the supply and disposition of crude oil and petroleum products.
Aug 30, 2024 The U.S. Energy Information Administration release showing national monthly biofuels operable production capacity.
Aug 30, 2024 Monthly data on rail movements of crude oil have been updated for June 2024. Crude oil movements by rail have significantly increased during the past five years. The data on crude-by-rail (CBR) movements are also fully integrated with EIA’s existing monthly petroleum supply statistics, which already include crude oil movements by pipeline, tanker, and barge.
Aug 30, 2024 Imports data at the company level collected from Form EIA-814, Monthly Imports Report.
Aug 27, 2024 The Monthly Energy Review is our comprehensive report on recent and historical energy statistics. According to our August 2024 report, preliminary estimates indicate that total carbon dioxide emissions from U.S. consumption of energy (excluding biomass) equaled 375 million metric tons in May 2024, a 2% increase from May 2023. Of this total, petroleum accounted for 52%, natural gas for 33%, and coal for 14%.
Aug 23, 2024 Data in the August 2024 Electric Power Monthly (EPM) are for June 2024, when net generation in the United States increased 5.6% from May 2023. Consumption of natural gas for power generation was up 4.3% compared with the previous year. The average residential retail price of electricity was up 1.7% from May 2023.
Aug 22, 2024 This site contains spreadsheets with wholesale electricity and natural gas data from seven major trading hubs that cover most regions of the United States. The data are through August 20, 2024, republished, with permission, from the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).
Aug 21, 2024 This report looks at planned global refinery capacity additions to 2028 and the implications on crude oil and refined petroleum product trade.
Aug 21, 2024 Norway’s Johan Sverdrup field, the top producing oil field in Europe, will reach its production plateau near 755 thousand barrels per day by the end of the year, and the 88-megawatt Hywind Tampen project, the world’s largest floating offshore wind farm, entered operation in late 2022.
Driven by an increase in wholesale natural gas prices, retail U.S. natural gas prices for every sector have increased so far this year, although the increases are uneven across sectors. In our latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, we expect the 2025 annual average price of natural gas paid by electric power plants to increase by 37% and the price paid by industrial sector customers to increase by 21% compared with the 2024 averages. We forecast that natural gas prices for customers in the commercial and residential sectors will increase by less, at 4% each. More ›
