Liquids pipeline projects

Sep 17, 2024
This spreadsheet contains detailed information on liquids (crude oil, petroleum products, and hydrocarbon gas liquids) pipeline projects. We do not collect the data on an EIA survey, but rather we compile the data from various sources including trade press, pipeline company websites, and government agencies. These data are not a forecast. They represent last-known public information on projects, as of July 31, 2024. The status of each project is categorized as completed (since 2010), announced, under construction, on hold, or canceled.

Monthly Solar Photovoltaic Module Shipments Report

This report contains monthly summary data for the photovoltaic industry in the United States. Data include manufacturing, imports, and exports of modules in the United States and its territories. Summary data include volumes in peak kilowatts and average prices. Where possible, imports and exports are listed by country, and shipments to the United States are listed by state.

EIA expects flat oil and natural gas production from the Gulf of Mexico after model update

Sep 12, 2024
We recently implemented a new model for forecasting crude oil and natural gas production from the U.S. Federal Offshore Gulf of Mexico (GOM) in the Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO). In our latest outlook, we forecast that GOM production will remain relatively flat with new fields offsetting the natural production declines from existing fields.

Short-Term Energy Outlook

Sep 10, 2024
New U.S. biofuels data. Biomass-based diesel products are making up an increasing share of the total distillate fuel oil consumed in the United States. Beginning this month, we will publish forecasts for several new series that better capture how biofuels are being consumed and the share of total distillate fuel oil they account for. We expect that although U.S. total distillate fuel oil consumption will fall slightly this year to average 4.1 million barrels per day (b/d), biofuels will account for 9% (360,000 b/d) of that consumption, up from 8% last year and 5% in 2022.

Wholesale Electricity Market Data

Sep 5, 2024
This site contains spreadsheets with wholesale electricity and natural gas data from seven major trading hubs that cover most regions of the United States. The data are through September 3, 2024, republished, with permission, from the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).

Petroleum Marketing Monthly

Sep 3, 2024
The September 2024 Petroleum Marketing Monthly (PMM), with data through June 2024, presents monthly and annual price and volume statistics for crude oil sales in the United States.

Natural Gas Monthly

Aug 30, 2024
In June 2024, dry natural gas production decreased year over year for the fourth consecutive month. Preliminary dry natural gas production in June 2024 was 3,090 billion cubic feet (Bcf), or 103.0 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d). Production was 0.2% (0.2 Bcf/d) lower in June 2024 than in June 2023 (103.2 Bcf/d); despite this decrease, dry natural gas production was the second highest for the month since 1973, when we began tracking dry production. Gross withdrawals also decreased from June 2023.
