Apr 18, 2022 Because drilling new wells has been significantly reduced, the inventory of drilled but uncompleted (DUC) wells provides short-term reserve for the completion of new wells. The September supplement to the Drilling Productivity Report reviews how DUC well inventory functions as a necessary buffer between drilling activities and oil demand.
Apr 15, 2022 Annual state-level estimates of consumption, prices, and expenditures for petroleum coke and other petroleum products through 2020. Other petroleum products is a category that consists of 11 products, including still gas, petrochemical feedstocks, and special naphthas.
Apr 15, 2022 This report contains monthly summary data for the photovoltaic industry in the United States. Data include manufacturing, imports, and exports of modules in the United States and its territories. Summary data include volumes in peak kilowatts and average prices. Where possible, imports and exports are listed by country, and shipments to the United States are listed by state.
Apr 13, 2022 We have updated the state carbon dioxide emissions page. The update features energy-related CO2 emissions data between 1970 and 2019 based on the State Energy Data System, as well as new methodology and key concept documentation.
Apr 12, 2022 The April Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO) is subject to heightened levels of uncertainty resulting from a variety of factors, including Russia’s further invasion of Ukraine. This STEO assumes U.S. GDP will grow by 3.4% in 2022 and by 3.1% in 2023, following growth of 5.7% in 2021. We use the S&P Global macroeconomic model to generate our U.S. economic assumptions. Global macroeconomic assumptions in our forecast are from Oxford Economics and include global GDP growth of 4.0% in 2022 and 3.7% in 2023, compared with growth of 6.0% in 2021. A wide range of potential macroeconomic outcomes could significantly affect energy markets during the forecast period. Energy supply uncertainty results from the conflict in Ukraine, the production decisions of OPEC+, and the rate at which U.S. oil and natural gas producers increase drilling.
Apr 12, 2022 We released an updated map library of hydrocarbon exploration, resources, and production. This site features detailed maps and reports on selected oil and natural gas plays and enhanced navigation and data accessibility features. The available maps, based on well-level data, include selected hydrocarbon-producing formation structure and thickness contours, well locations, and production.
Apr 12, 2022 The Permian Basin Report, Part II contains updated maps and information on major hydrocarbon Wolfcamp and Spraberry plays of the Midland Basin, which is the part of the larger Permian Basin. Structure and thickness maps of Wolfcamp and Spraberry formations are also presented as standalone products, including shapefiles.

The country is also a significant oil exporter; in 2021, it was the fifth-largest crude oil exporter to the United States. Columbia uses hydropower for most of its electricity needs. Despite being a major coal producer, Colombia uses very little coal domestically, instead exporting most of its coal production.
Mar 31, 2022 In January 2022, dry natural gas production increased year over year for the month for the 10th consecutive month. The preliminary level for dry natural gas production in January 2022 was 2,943 billion cubic feet (Bcf), or 94.9 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d). This level was 2.1 Bcf/d (2.3%) higher than January 2021 (92.8 Bcf/d) and the second-highest level for the month since 1973, when we began tracking dry natural gas production. Gross withdrawals also increased from January 2021

Mar 30, 2022 EIA presents an alternative case to the Annual Energy Outlook 2022 (AEO2022) that assume no new interstate natural gas pipelines are built between 2024 and 2050. This Issues in Focus article examines how these limitations to natural gas pipeline capacity affect changes to natural gas production, consumption, prices, and trade at the national and regional levels.
