Jul 1, 2021 U.S. coal production during the first quarter of 2021 totaled 140.3 million short tons (MMst), which was 4.5% higher than the previous quarter and 5.9% lower than the first quarter of 2020. First-quarter 2021 U.S. coal exports (20.7 MMst) increased 8.6% from the fourth-quarter 2020 level and increased 3.6% from the first-quarter 2020 level. U.S. coal imports in the first quarter of 2021 totaled 1.1 MMst. All data for 2019 and previous years are final. All data for 2020 and 2021 are preliminary.

Jun 30, 2021 The U.S. Energy Information Administration release showing national monthly biofuels operable production capacity.
Jun 30, 2021 In April 2021, for the 12th consecutive month, dry natural gas production decreased year over year for the month. The preliminary level for dry natural gas production in April 2021 was 2,776 billion cubic feet (Bcf), or 92.5 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d). This level was 0.4 Bcf/d (-0.4%) lower than the April 2020 level of 92.9 Bcf/d. Despite this year-over-year decrease in dry production, both gross withdrawals and marketed production increased from April 2020.
Jun 30, 2021 Monthly data on rail movements of crude oil have been updated for April 2021. Crude oil movements by rail have significantly increased during the past five years. The data on crude-by-rail (CBR) movements are also fully integrated with EIA’s existing monthly petroleum supply statistics, which already include crude oil movements by pipeline, tanker, and barge.

Jun 25, 2021 Data series include fuel, electricity, and steam purchased for consumption at refineries; refinery receipts of crude oil by method of transportation; and current and projected atmospheric crude oil distillation, and downstream charge capacities and production capacity of selected products. Respondents operate all operating and idle petroleum refineries (including new refineries under construction) and refineries shut down during the previous year. These refineries are located in the 50 States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and other U.S. possessions.
Jun 24, 2021 Data in the June 2021 Electric Power Monthly (EPM) are for April 2021, during which net generation in the United States rose 5.9 percent from the April 2020 level. Jun 14, 2021 Because drilling new wells has been significantly reduced, the inventory of drilled but uncompleted (DUC) wells provides short-term reserve for the completion of new wells. The January supplement to the Drilling Productivity Report reviews how DUC well inventory functions as a necessary buffer between drilling activities and oil demand.
Jun 14, 2021 Brazil is a significant energy producer. For many years, Brazil’s government has worked to increase domestic oil production, and discoveries of large, offshore, pre-salt oil deposits have transformed Brazil into a top-10 global liquid fuels producer. In 2019, Brazil was the eighth-largest producer in the world and the third largest in the Americas behind the United States and Canada.

Jun 8, 2021 The June Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO) remains subject to heightened levels of uncertainty related to the ongoing economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. The U.S. economy continues to rise after reaching multiyear lows in the second quarter of 2020 (2Q20). The increase in economic activity and easing of the COVID-19 pandemic have contributed to rising energy use. U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) declined by 3.5% in 2020 from 2019 levels. This STEO assumes U.S. GDP will grow by 6.7% in 2021 and by 4.9% in 2022. The U.S. macroeconomic assumptions in this outlook are based on forecasts by IHS Markit. Our forecast assumes continuing economic growth and increasing mobility as a result of the easing of the COVID-19 pandemic. Any developments that would cause deviations from these assumptions would likely cause energy consumption and prices to deviate from our forecast.
Jun 7, 2021 This spreadsheet contains detailed information on liquids (crude oil, petroleum products, and hydrocarbon gas liquids) pipeline projects that have been completed (since 2010), announced, or canceled or are on hold or under construction. We do not collect the data on an EIA survey, but rather we compile the data from various sources including trade press, pipeline company websites, and government agencies. These data are not a forecast. They represent last-known public information on projects, as of May 14, 2020. We will update this spreadsheet twice a year.
Jun 3, 2021 This site contains spreadsheets with wholesale electricity and natural gas data from eight major trading hubs that cover most regions of the United States. The data are through June 1, 2021 and are republished, with permission, from the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).
