These data are not a forecast and represent last-known public information on projects. This spreadsheet will be updated twice a year.
Jun 3, 2020 The U.S. Energy Information Administration’s (EIA) two metrics for assessing 2019 underground working natural gas storage capacity in the Lower 48 states compared with the previous year show mixed results: one metric reported a small increase and the other a small decrease. EIA measures working natural gas storage capacity in two ways: design capacity and demonstrated peak capacity. In 2019, EIA estimates that maximum working natural gas storage capacity measured by design capacity was 4,693 billion cubic feet (Bcf) and was 4,261 Bcf measured by demonstrated peak capacity.
Jun 2, 2020 This web page contains spreadsheets with early release 2019 data from the Form EIA-860, Annual Electric Generator Report. Form EIA-860 collects data on the status of existing electric generating plants and associated equipment (including generators, boilers, cooling systems and air emission control systems) in the United States, and those scheduled for initial commercial operation within 5 or 10 years.
Jun 1, 2020 The June 2020 Petroleum Marketing Monthly (PMM), with data through March 2020, presents monthly and annual price and volume statistics covering crude oil and refined petroleum products sales in the United States. In this edition of the PMM, final monthly data and 2019 annual averages for crude oil are available in tables 18-27.
May 29, 2020 Monthly data on rail movements of crude oil have been updated for March 2020. Crude oil movements by rail have significantly increased during the past five years. The data on crude-by-rail (CBR) movements are also fully integrated with EIA’s existing monthly petroleum supply statistics, which already include crude oil movements by pipeline, tanker, and barge.
May 29, 2020 This annual report calculates underground natural gas storage capacity as of November 2019 and explains how changes in storage capacity relate to market circumstances. In 2019, natural gas design capacity and maximum demonstrated capacity were relatively unchanged with design capacity declining 0.4% and demonstrated peak capacity increasing 0.1% compared with 2018 capacities.

May 29, 2020 Imports data at the company level collected from Form EIA-814, Monthly Imports Report.
May 29, 2020 In March 2020, for the 35th consecutive month, dry natural gas production increased year to year for the month. The preliminary level for dry natural gas production in March 2020 was 2,919 billion cubic feet (Bcf), or 94.2 Bcf/d. This level was 4.2 Bcf/d (4.7%) higher than the March 2019 level of 89.9 Bcf/d. The average daily rate of dry production was the highest for the month since EIA began tracking monthly dry production in 1973.
May 29, 2020 Supply and disposition of crude oil and petroleum products on a national and regional level. The data describe production, imports and exports, movements, and inventories.
May 29, 2020 These monthly production estimates are based on data from Form EIA-914, Monthly Crude Oil, Lease Condensate, and Natural Gas Production Report.
May 29, 2020 Working and net available shell storage capacity as of March 31, 2020 is the U.S. Energy Information Administration's (EIA) report containing annual storage capacity data. It includes three tables detailing working and net available shell storage capacity by facility type, product, and PAD District as of March 31.
May 26, 2020 This month’s Electric Monthly Update contains data for March 2020 and a feature article about how solar photovoltaic module shipments increased in 2019 while average value per peak kilowatt continues to fall.
May 26, 2020 Data in the May 2020 Electric Power Monthly (EPM) are for March 2020, during which net generation in the United States fell 5.6 percent from the March 2019 level. Consumption of natural gas for power generation was up 10.3 percent compared to March 2019. The average residential retail price of electricity for March 2020 was up 1.7 percent from what it had been in March 2019.

May 21, 2020 This site contains spreadsheets with wholesale electricity and natural gas data from eight major trading hubs that cover most regions of the United States. The data are through May 19, 2020 and are republished, with permission, from the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).
May 21, 2020 The average spot (wholesale) price of natural gas in New England for winter 2019–20 (November 1, 2019–March 31, 2020) was $3.17 per million British thermal units (MMBtu), down about 40% from $5.40/MMBtu for the winter of 2018–19 based on trends at the Algonquin Gas Transmission (Algonquin) Citygate—a key regional benchmark for natural gas prices in New England. This price was the lowest average price of natural gas since the winter of 2015–16, which (like winter 2019–20) was warmer than normal.

May 20, 2020 EIA has redesigned the state carbon dioxide emissions page. The new page contains both the raw state data tables and the tables from the analysis report. This update will allow all the tables to be published simultaneously. The analysis report has been replaced by a report entitled Introduction and Key Concepts: State Energy-Related Carbon Dioxide Emissions Tables that explains the content of the analysis tables. The data and analysis tables include data through 2017 and are based on the State Energy Data System. The state summary and analysis tables begin in 1990. Tables for each fuel type and sector and detailed tables for individual state emissions by fuel and sector go back to 1980. This page also includes methodology documentation.

May 12, 2020 Although all market outlooks are subject to many risks, the May edition of EIA’s Short-Term Energy Outlook remains subject to heightened levels of uncertainty because the effects on energy markets of mitigation efforts related to the 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) are still evolving. Reduced economic activity related to the COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant changes in energy supply and demand patterns. Crude oil prices, in particular, have fallen significantly since the beginning of 2020, largely driven by reduced oil demand because of COVID-19 mitigation efforts. Despite the April agreement between the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and partner countries (OPEC+) to reduce production levels beyond the end of the STEO forecast period, crude oil prices have remained at some of their lowest levels in more than 20 years. Uncertainties persist across EIA’s outlook for other energy sources, including natural gas, electricity, coal, and renewables.
