As of January 1, 2021, there were an estimated 7,299 trillion cubic feet (Tcf) of total world proved reserves of natural gas. Proved reserves of natural gas are the estimated quantities that analysis of geological and engineering data demonstrate with reasonable certainty to be recoverable in future years from reservoirs under existing economic and operating conditions.
