Dec 13, 2023 Annual state-level estimates of electricity end-use consumption, prices, and expenditures, as well as new electric vehicle stocks and charging infrastructure.
Dec 12, 2023 Natural gas prices. The Henry Hub spot price in our forecast averages close to $2.80 per million British thermal units this winter (November—March), down more than 60 cents from our November Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO). The downward revision reflects both a warmer-than-average start to the winter, which has reduced demand for space heating in the residential and commercial sectors, and high natural gas production. These two factors have increased natural gas storage inventories. We forecast U.S. natural gas inventories will end the winter 22% above the five-year average (2018–2022), with more than 2,000 billion cubic feet in storage.
Dec 8, 2023 Africa has significant hydrocarbon resources, with basins that are considered underexplored and that may hold large resources that could be commercially viable. This briefing will focus on Namibia, Kenya, Uganda, Mauritania, Senegal, and Mozambique. These countries have uncovered hydrocarbon discoveries that may be potentially significant and commercially viable, which has led to increased investor interest in upstream exploration and development in their respective territories.
Dec 6, 2023 Third quarter 2023 update of uranium production in the United States and operating status of U.S. uranium mills and plants.
Dec 4, 2023 Brazil's energy mix is diverse; hydropower, fossil fuels, biofuels, wind energy, and solar power all make significant contributions. Brazil's total energy production increased by an average annual growth rate of 1.5% from 2011 to 2021. Petroleum and other liquids accounted for most of the energy production increase, followed by natural gas. Brazil's energy production in 2021 accounted for 2.0% of global production and 48.8% of South America's total.
Dec 1, 2023 The December 2023 Petroleum Marketing Monthly (PMM), with data through September 2023 presents monthly and annual price and volume statistics for crude oil sales in the United States.
Nov 30, 2023 Imports data at the company level collected from Form EIA-814, Monthly Imports Report.
Nov 30, 2023 Monthly data on rail movements of crude oil have been updated for September 2023. Crude oil movements by rail have significantly increased during the past five years. The data on crude-by-rail (CBR) movements are also fully integrated with EIA’s existing monthly petroleum supply statistics, which already include crude oil movements by pipeline, tanker, and barge.
Nov 30, 2023 Supply and disposition of crude oil and petroleum products on a national and regional level. The data describe production, imports and exports, movements, and inventories.
Nov 30, 2023 This site contains spreadsheets with wholesale electricity and natural gas data from eight November 28, 2023, and are republished, with permission, from the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).
Nov 30, 2023 These monthly production estimates are based on data from Form EIA-914, Monthly Crude Oil, Lease Condensate, and Natural Gas Production Report.
Nov 30, 2023 In September 2023, dry natural gas production increased year over year for the month for the 29th consecutive month. Preliminary dry natural gas production in September 2023 was 3,126 billion cubic feet (Bcf), or 104.2 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d). This level was 1.8% (1.8 Bcf/d) higher than September 2022 (102.4 Bcf/d) and the highest for the month since 1973, when we began tracking dry natural gas production. Gross withdrawals also increased from September 2022
Nov 30, 2023 The U.S. Energy Information Administration release showing national monthly biofuels operable production capacity.
Nov 29, 2023 According to our recently released report on 2022 energy-related CO2 emissions, U.S. CO2 emissions from the consumption of fossil fuels totaled 4,939 million metric tons (MMmt) in 2022, an increase of 1% (34 MMmt) from 2021. Numerous factors influenced these emissions changes, such as decreased coal-fired electricity generation, increased demand for heating in buildings, and waning impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on transportation. This analysis is based on data contained in our Monthly Energy Review, Short-Term Energy Outlook, and Quarterly Coal Report.
Nov 27, 2023 The Monthly Energy Review is our comprehensive report on recent and historical energy statistics. According to our November 2023 report, preliminary estimates indicate that U.S. primary energy production totaled 8.9 quadrillion British thermal units in August 2023, a 4% increase from August 2022.
Nov 22, 2023 Data in the November 2023 Electric Power Monthly (EPM) are for September 2023, when net generation in the United States was up 1.8% from September 2022. Consumption of natural gas for power generation was up 5.5% compared with September 2022. The average residential retail price of electricity was up 0.6% from September 2022.
Nov 22, 2023 This month’s Electric Monthly Update contains data for September 2023 and a feature article about how carbon dioxide emissions fell slightly in 2022 due to a reduction in the carbon intensity of electric power sources.
