Dec 3, 2020 The December 2020 Petroleum Marketing Monthly (PMM), with data through September 2020 presents monthly and annual price and volume statistics covering crude oil and refined petroleum products sales in the United States.
Dec 3, 2020 This site contains spreadsheets with wholesale electricity and natural gas data from eight major trading hubs that cover most regions of the United States. The data are through December 1, 2020 and are republished, with permission, from the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).
Dec 2, 2020 Modeling Distributed Generation in the Buildings Sectors describes EIA’s approach to modeling distributed electricity generation for the Annual Energy Outlook (AEO) and discusses AEO2020 modeling results. The paper details EIA’s data sources and assumptions for historical capacity, costs, and government incentives and explains how EIA projects future capacity development and generation based on this information. It then provides a scenario analysis of results across different side cases (sets of assumptions) in AEO2020.
Nov 30, 2020 In September 2020, for the fifth consecutive month, dry natural gas production decreased year over year for the month. The preliminary level for dry natural gas production in September 2020 was 2,678 billion cubic feet (Bcf), or 89.3 Bcf/d. This level was 5.4 Bcf/d (-5.7%) lower than the September 2019 level of 94.7 Bcf/d. Despite this year-over-year decrease, the average daily rate of dry production was the second highest for the month since the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) began tracking monthly dry production in 1973.
Nov 30, 2020 Monthly data on rail movements of crude oil have been updated for September 2020. Crude oil movements by rail have significantly increased during the past five years. The data on crude-by-rail (CBR) movements are also fully integrated with EIA’s existing monthly petroleum supply statistics, which already include crude oil movements by pipeline, tanker, and barge.
Nov 30, 2020 Mexico is a major producer of petroleum and other liquids and is one of the largest providers of U.S. oil imports. Mexico’s oil production has declined since 2004, as has the country’s position as a net oil exporter.
Nov 30, 2020 Supply and disposition of crude oil and petroleum products on a national and regional level. The data describe production, imports and exports, movements, and inventories.
Nov 30, 2020 Imports data at the company level collected from Form EIA-814, Monthly Imports Report.
Nov 30, 2020 Monthly national and regional biodiesel production data for September 2020. In addition to biodiesel production, data included producer sales, producer stocks, and feedstock inputs.
Nov 30, 2020 Gabon is a mature oil producer in West Africa and among the top five oil producers in sub-Saharan Africa. Gabon enacted the 2019 Hydrocarbon Law to reinvigorate its oil market and support its 12th bidding round for the allocation of offshore blocks.
Nov 30, 2020 These monthly production estimates are based on data from Form EIA-914, Monthly Crude Oil, Lease Condensate, and Natural Gas Production Report.
Nov 30, 2020 Although one of the original five large oil-producing countries that created the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in 1960, Venezuela fell to the fourth-smallest producer among OPEC’s 13 members in 2019, ranked higher than only Congo-Brazzaville, Gabon, and Equatorial Guinea.
Nov 24, 2020 This month’s Electric Monthly Update contains data for September 2020 and a feature article about how average monthly electricity bills for residential customers in the United States declined in 2019.
Nov 24, 2020 Data in the November 2020 Electric Power Monthly (EPM) are for September 2020, during which net generation in the United States fell 7.3 percent from the September 2019 level. Consumption of natural gas for power generation was down 4.6 percent compared to September 2019. The average residential retail price of electricity for September 2020 was up 3.0 percent from what it had been in September 2019.
Nov 24, 2020 The Monthly Energy Review is EIA's comprehensive report on recent and historical energy statistics. Preliminary data for August 2020 indicate that total energy consumption in the U.S. industrial sector equaled 2.6 quadrillion British thermal units, a 7% decrease from August 2019.
Nov 23, 2020 The Prime Supplier Report presents data through September 2020 on Form EIA-782C, Monthly Report of Prime Supplier Sales of Petroleum Products Sold for Local Consumption. These data measure primary product deliveries into the states where they are locally marketed and consumed.

Nov 19, 2020 This site contains spreadsheets with wholesale electricity and natural gas data from eight major trading hubs that cover most regions of the United States. The data are through November 17, 2020 and are republished, with permission, from the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).
Nov 18, 2020 The first estimates from the 2018 Commercial Buildings Energy Consumption Survey (CBECS) provide information about the U.S. commercial building stock, such as building size and activity, year of construction, and geographic region.
Nov 16, 2020 This report contains monthly summary data for the photovoltaic industry in the United States. Data include manufacturing, imports, and exports of modules in the United States and its territories. Summary data include volumes in peak kilowatts and average prices. Where possible, imports and exports are listed by country, and shipments to the United States are listed by state.
Nov 16, 2020 The Drilling Productivity Report (DPR) uses recent data on the total number of drilling rigs in operation along with estimates of drilling productivity and estimated changes in production from existing oil and natural gas wells to provide estimated changes in oil and natural gas production for seven key regions.
Nov 13, 2020 Annual state-level estimates of energy consumption, prices, and expenditures for asphalt and road oil.
Nov 13, 2020 Although Yemen is not a major hydrocarbon producer relative to several other countries in the Middle East, the country has sufficient oil and natural gas resources for both domestic demand and exports. However, Yemen's difficult security environment hinders the production and transport of those resources.
Nov 12, 2020 The Philippines is a net energy importer, even though its consumption levels are low relative to its Southeast Asian neighbors and it produces fossil fuels domestically. Renewable energy sources account for a significant share of electricity generation.
Nov 10, 2020 The November Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO) remains subject to heightened levels of uncertainty because responses to COVID-19 continue to evolve. Reduced economic activity related to the COVID-19 pandemic has caused changes in energy demand and supply patterns in 2020 and will continue to affect these patterns in the future. U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) declined by 4.4% in the first half of 2020 compared with the same period a year ago. GDP began rising in the third quarter of 2020, and this STEO assumes it will grow by 3.7% from 2020 to 2021. The U.S. macroeconomic assumptions in this outlook are based on forecasts by IHS Markit.
In the third quarter of 2025, solar projects representing about 20% of planned capacity reported a delay, a decrease from 25% in the same period in 2024, based on data compiled from multiple Preliminary Monthly Electric Generator Inventory reports. More ›
